About
From now until 2030, about 10,000 Baby Boomers will hit retirement age each day, which is part of the reason the U.S. is experiencing so many job openings. (According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of job openings increased to 11 million on the last business day of December 2022.) But there are plenty of younger people to fill well-paying manufacturing jobs. So, where are they?

During this episode of Packaging World LIVE, we will explore some of the issues that have created a paradigm shift in employment trends, and how companies need to adjust hiring practices to attract and retain new talent. In addition, we’ll dig into the obstacles OEMs are specifically dealing with, and provide some advice for executives and human resources professionals on how to influence culture change and hiring best practices.

Join Stephanie Neil, Editor-in-Chief of OEM, in a conversation with Patty Andersen, co-owner and Vice President of Human Resources and Aftermarket Services at Delkor Systems, as they discuss practical approaches to a workforce skills crisis in packaging and processing.
